The only reason that this show is coming back from the abyss is to fill time slots during the writers strike. When it was canned last Spring, they still had a handful of episodes that went unaired. Well, here they are...back again.

On ABC.com it was written that "notes" would be coming back Mid-Season. I read this way before the writers strike began.
Last May they announced it was returning in the mid-season. However due to the strike it aired earlier. (Plus the fact Dancing With The Stars was dwindling down)
Pushing Daisies Wednesday's @ 8pm on ABC.
Uh, it was renewed for a second season in May and given an additional 13 episodes to air along with the five episodes that weren't aired in the spring. And it has always been scheduled to join Samantha Who on Mondays once Dancing with the Stars ended. The strike has had absolutely no say in when or where the show aired.
