Anyone Hear of a DVD release date??

I loved this show so much and wish they were bringing it back, but has anyone heard of a DVD release date? If I can't watch new episodes, I'd rather have the first 13 on DVD.
BTW, any news on bringing it back from the re release on TV on August 10th? I heard if it got better ratings from that day they might reconsider bringing it back. Thanks for any info.

I too would like to see this show on dvd. ABC could do a box-set like they did for that other great show, Denis Leary's THE JOB, which they also cancelled along with SPORTS NIGHT and a slew of others.

This show was too intriguing not to be given more of a chance.

Boy Meets World - Lionsgate Licenses Many Programs From ABC Domestic/Disney: Boy Meets World, 8 Simple Rules & More!

2 titles already announced, with at least 7 other shows included in the deal
Posted by David Lambert 8/05/2008

Earlier today we posted news about Lionsgate Entertainment's announcements regarding their upcoming DVD releases for According to Jim - The Complete 1st Season (available to own on October 21st) and Reaper - Season 1 (coming on November 4th). These are two titles which they're putting out as a result of their recent deal with Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment-distributed ABC Domestic Television, which gives the home video release license to Lionsgate for several of ABC/Disney's properties. Yesterday stories posted by trade periodicals Home Media Magazine and Video Business revealed new info about this deal, including naming several other properties that were included in the pact.

Fans of Boy Meets World, who have been upset that 3 seasons of the program were released on DVD in 2004-05, but that ABC/Disney's plans for a 4th season release were canceled, have been elated since we broke the news just over a year ago that the studio was looking to license the property out. Now that ABC Domestic Television's deal with Lionsgate is complete, fans can look forward to finally getting those discs spinning again. Boy Meets World, starring Ben Savage, Danielle Fishel, Rider Strong, Will Friedle and William Daniels (St. Elsewhere, Knight Rider) aired for 7 seasons on ABC, starting in 1993, and produced over 150 episodes. Other TV shows included in the licensing deal (which means Lionsgate can release these on DVD) are:

* 8 Simple Rules (...For Dating My Teenage Daughter)
o 2002; ABC; 3 Seasons; ~76 episodes
o Starred: John Ritter (Three's Company), Katey Sagal (Married...with Children, Futurama), Kaley Cuoco (Big Bang Theory), James Garner (Rockford Files)
* My Wife & Kids
o 2001; ABC; 5 seasons; ~123 episodes
o Starred: Damon Wayans (In Living Color), Tisha Campbell-Martin (Martin), Noah Gray-Cabey (Heroes)
* Hope & Faith
o 2003; ABC; 4 seasons; ~73 episodes
o Starred: Faith Ford (Murphy Brown), Kelly Ripa (Live with Regis & Kelly), Ted McGinley (Married...with Children, Happy Days), Megan Fox (live-action Transformers film)
* October Road
o 2007; ABC; 2 seasons; 19 episodes
o Starred: Bryan Greenberg (One Tree Hill), Laura Prepon (That '70s Show), Tom Berenger (Platoon, Major League)
* Kevin Hill
o 2004; UPN; 1 season; 22 episodes
o Starred: Taye Diggs (Private Practice), Christina Hendricks (Mad Men), Jon Seda (Close to Home)
* Six Degrees
o 2006; ABC; 1 season; 13 episodes (5 unaired)
o Starred: Jay Hernandez, Bridget Moynahan, Erika Christensen, Dorian Missick, Campbell Scott, Hope Davis

Are these the only items included in the deal? We're not sure; there could be others that simply haven't been made public. Of the ones revealed, these shows are all in Lionsgate's ballpark now, but keep in mind that the studio hasn't actually announced them as DVD titles yet, or provided release dates, for any of the licensed programs except According to Jim and Reaper. We'll post a report whenever we find out anything further about releases related to any of these series, so stay tuned!

Oh wow, I had no idea there were 5 unaired episodes!

I put it in my "saved" queue at Netflix. If it ever does come out on DVD, I'll be lined up to get it.

I found the series online to purchase from this seller. Looks like he just downloaded them and put them on dvd. But its better than nothing!
