Kathryn Hale's hair (asking for spoiler)
I will probably not see all episodes here in France :-( so can anyone tell me what happened to Kathryn Hale in the bank ? Why was her hair cut ?
just wondering....

I don't think they've explained that yet but I think we will find out soon. : ) I was wondering that too. I really want to know.
shareIf you still have the "Pilot" episode available to you go back and watch the opening Teaser Act and Act I again. You should notice that when Kathryn showed up at the bank at her mothers behest, she was wearing a dark business suit with a white blouse. When the SWAT team siege occurred, she was clearly traumatized and hiding behind some kind of cabinet/box but she is in a black slip now. Her business suit has been removed. When she is escorted out you can clearly see this. One can certainly speculate that she that Randall either raped her or was foiled in attempting to rape her. But it's my assumption that her hair was cut off by Randall during his assault of Kathryn.
shareIn episode 11, there's a flashback in which Randall tries to rape Kathryn (he only stops when Malcolm stands up and basically orders Randall to beat him up instead -- and he doesn't cut her hair). So, he tried once. No reason to believe he didn't try again. Obviously, she was one of his targets.
But, from what I hear, we're not going to get the answer to the hair question from remaining shows. One of the columnists on TV Guide Online is going to take question submissions and get answers for us. I'd bet the "what happened to Kathryn?" question will be one of the most-asked on the list so we'll find out. We just won't get to see it play onscreen.

I am leaning toward believing that she was assaulted multiple times by Randall but was not raped. Her attitude certainly changed afterward. In the intro she was talking about one of her cases where she would show no mercy to a woman involved with a heroin dealer if she did not testify against him. In a subsequent episode she did not want to put the woman on the stand because it may place her in danger. In the final two episodes you can see that she is taking a position AGAINST the 3-strikes law. She believes criminals facing 3-strikes are more likely to act more violently out of desperation of facing a life sentence.
