I can't believe nobody noticed this

Everybody seems to be sure it was Jared who somehow caused the timeloop.. but what about that plate in Ritas bathroom that broke the first day? He catches it on the second day and then it never falls again.. until the last day when it falls and breaks again. I think that caused the timeloop to start and to end. It almost restarted when it fell again in the end but he catches it. Why would they put all those scenes in if it wouldnt mean anything??
