Anthology series (New Season New Character)

a good way to bring this show back is to introduce another character who has the same time loop problem as Hopper. This way, we don't really have to worry about the ten year gap or aging problem of the characters or those who had moved on or passed away.

I'm sure Taye Diggs would be interested in doing a cameo... he could play a minor character, an expert of sorts.. and if people are interested in who he is, then they can watch the original series as a backstory... this way, he can help the new series and the new series can help the old series.

May be they could keep the old format of a character trying to solve his personal problem which leads him to averting a major terror plot.
