Germany's Texas Lightning

I really thought, Germany would win this time. The song was catchy and different. The performance not too much or vulgar, so I don't know, why they didn't get any votes...

And according the radio-host Germany was expected to win followed by Norway. But both countries failed to get in the top 10. Why is that???

Most of the people who have actually heard the songs before the final are Eurovision fans and Eurovision "experts", and they don't exactly represent the musical taste of the majority of the viewers, to say the least.

I think the german song was different in the wrong way... A traditionally american kind of song like coyntry is not what you expect from a European... Like another country's song that seemed to have come from Hawai... It's odd and seems very fake. Songs that imitate other cultures' styles are not appealing. That's what happened to the U.K. last year also...

Yet indeed how come that country and western number from Denmark did so well in 2001?

i feel germany and norway were hindered from being early on in the draw, had they been on nearer the end they may have done better and resonated more with the average televoter but then again the average televoter is a thick twat and knows nothing about ESC unlike us true fans. That`s why I suggest to get the best of both worlds with a 50/50 jury/televote system, but the EBU dickheads probably won`t listen.

Germany's was definitely the best song this year - but that shouldn't lead you to expect them to win...
