the best part of the movie was the theatre scene and dialogue...can any one tell me from which book or script is it? i loved its meaning and essence.

no it is not a Ripoff of any Wong Kar Wai movie! Metro is completely different from In the Mood for Love in terms of presentation, even though the theme is similar.

The cinematographic style in Metro reminded me of cinematography in the Wong Kar Wai movies (which I L-O-V-E, by the way) too, but it was in no way a rip off. In WKW movies there are many more longer shots, and the focus of the camera is often a wall, a hallway, a piece of furniture, a door, etc. with the person within that frame. Maybe Metro was inspired by Wong Kar Wai's style, nothing wrong with that I guess.

Wong Kar Wai is not bad but getting a little passe. I don't see how this movie has anything to do with him. In any case, Life In A Metro is one of the most gripping and engaging films I've watched all year.
