freaking double standard

ok i am watching this movie and i just had to stop and come here to say how outraged and annoyed i am about the stupid double standard. First of all, Shikkah should have left his stupid ass. she said it herself she could make more money than him so its not a financial thing. Secondly she dosen't love him or maybe she does but she sure dosen't love the way he's treating her and he dosen't act in the way indicative of love so i doubt he loves her either. Ok so when she confesses to her husband he's all outraged and furious i am like what the *beep* she is supposed to forgive him for a freaking two year affair and he's going ape *beep* over a 6 week thing like he is so freaking dignified. That freaking double standard just pisses me off i mean i would have slapped him if it was me he asked 'is that child even mine'. Whatever *beep* man thinks he can just go around and cheat on his wife for YEARS and be forgiven but if a woman who is driven by neglect and abandonement seeks attention and appreciation from another has commmited a greater offense is a few nuggets shy of a happy meal. Goodness sake i am so pissed!!! I am even slighly angrier at her for her throwing herself at him begging him to forgive her. That is sooo DEgrading and now he's just going to use her honest nature against her and flip the script. He was never going to tell her unless she was caught and Even when she Knew her husband was cheating on her she felt soo guilty and didn't even do anything with the man and was going to confess right away. What a useless waste of a human being! women truly deserve better. Scratch that people truly deserve better because i am well aware that women can be good for nothing adulterers too.

Now back to the movie if i can tolerate my anger and not chuck my computer for the injustice being displayed.

ok and now that the *beep* *beep* gets his mistress. not like a week passes before he lines up another mistress. People like him need to be shot. No scratch that, he is very very sick and needs medical treatment. He must really hate himself to need so much validation.

oh yea i read the movie wrong i thought that he moved in with the old mistress and when he was asking for the keys it was to have sex with someone else. turns out that wasn't the case but i have another qualm

in love or not why would you accept someone who has the moral decency to do that...i mean from the look on her face she knew that the Married man she was seeing was her roommate brother-in-law and plus she has no resilence after trying to commit suicide for this guy she stupidly takes him back. NOTE to everyone who probably already knows: If a man cheats on his wife with no intention of seperating from her if you end up getting him, he WILL cheat on you!!! By accepting that nonsense as a fellow woman he will not have any respect for you

reply

Oh sorry for not being clear the point of this is that i am most disappointed with the guy with the flat. He deserves better and a woman with such loose morals surely cannot be trusted at least not until she has proven herself

wow lol i guess i do sound a bit jilted but no im not talking from personal experience. I was just surprised that the movie took on and depicted controversial subjects like homosexuality and i just hoped it would have given a more positive message to women...

ok i forgot names but the way shippa shetty's husband's character was dispicted; he is no where ready to be a changed man when he came back home. He came back home out of desperation i.e. having lost everything else and not out of an earnest realization of his wrongdoings. That said i think once his wife takes him back he will continue doing what he did before. The married couple never got along in the first place and i never saw what shippa's character was doing in the first place to make him resent her. Thus i think he was just angry at being married in the first place. He loves his kid but he does not want to be married and she made a big mistake taking him back...

maybe i am extra emotional because im Nigerian and stuff like this happen in our culture all the time...

reply

She went back to him because it's shown earlier that she's emotionally weak and often falls for the people who hurt her most. I don't think it was necessary to explain that in detail in the film again.

i know, the guys was such a [f]ucking loser but i didnt expect anything less from him when she told him about the other guy. thats just typical asian male mentality - its ok for them to sleep around with others, they expect to be forgiven for it but when a woman does it...God forbid!

its either that or his pride was crushed when he stole his thunder. most men expect to be the ones who cheat and the wife gets hurt and cries over it but in this case he was shocked by the fact that his was wife also in the same boat!

the movie was just a perfect example of typical male behaviour - it happens everywhere... not with every man, i know, but with most men!
