Ab toh humari khamoshi bhi aapas mein jhagde karti hai

I wrote the following on 3rd April 2013 and 2 years later, I'm 22 years old and I still feel the exact same way about this masterpiece. If you ever read this Mr. Basu, God bless you!

"So there's nothing on planet earth that gives me as much happiness and makes me cry at the same time like Life in a Metro does! I don't know what went through Anurag Basu's head to weave all the characters so brilliantly together. And yet he's managed to effortlessly give them their distinctive individuality. I don't know what went through his head to shoot the 'almost' love making scene between Aakash and Shikha in a red lit background. Maybe he meant to give out signs that it's 'dangerous' because she's married and well, cheating on her cheater husband or that it's 'not for her' like a red light area because she'll end up feeling like a slut (which she does feel like eventually) or he meant to simply imply a STOP sign. Or maybe he just liked the lighting and didn't even give this as much thought. I don't know. The point here was not to get into details, the point here is to talk about how miserable that movie makes me feel (In a good way).
So this is what I've concluded eventually, I'm a sucker for love and all the baggage coming with it. And Metro makes me loosen up and put my baggage down and wonder and wonder. As a film maker if I could write a movie like that I'd kiss myself every night for being that awesome."
Mr. Basu, here's to someday. :)
