Trivial, but.....

At the beginning of the movie you see an Asgardian taking the Teseract from its plinth from the Frost Giants. He looks to me - although I'm frequently wrong - like the same guy who visits the Oldfather to tell him that Loki is dead, aka Loki.

If it's not the same guy, they look a lot alike.

Just a note, that wasn't the Tesseract. That was the Casket of Ancient Winters. They're two separate and different objects/artifacts.

Agent Hill: ...Then aliens invaded New York and were beaten back, by among others, a giant green monster, a costumed hero from the 40's.... and a god.

Agent Ward: I don't think Thor is technically a god.

Hill: Well...you haven't been near his arms.

Lol, I told you I'm often wrong, but you're aware of that.
No, of course it's not is it?
I doubt there'd be any significance in it being the same actor anyway.

The Frost Giants have the Casket of Ancient Winters, the Red Skull in CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER, has THE TESSERACT. The 2 similar/same guards I BELIEVE you are talking about are in THOR THE THE DARK WORLD, correct? It was done that way, alog w/ a subtle flash of light @ the bottom of the screen so the signs could be there w/o having to be BAYSPOLOSIONSY, all action & colors & nothing even slightly subtle. I just remember it the first time & KNOWING from Hiddleston's 6 picture contract that Loki wasn't dead & having to hide my amusement as they left Svartalfheim & I waited for everyone else to find out that Loki had survived (I chuckled "what's so funny?" "You'll see") it was ALMOST an inside joke, like when Leonard Nimoy played Sentinel Prime & he says to Optimus "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few" & I'm the *ONLY* the guy in the theater giving the Vulcan salute...WHAT THE SPOCK!

I fell asleep during INCEPTION BUT I FEEL like I still saw it!
