This was stupid, I wish I had noticed it was from Australia before renting it, you know that's always bad news. The husband was a total moron, I had NO sympathy for them because they purposly put themself in danger SO many times. They see those people beating the guy on the road, instead of being more cautious they walk into some dump run down house. Hmm I wonder if it's maybe the same one!? Then no is home, so they go right on inside. Not only that but the place is a dump, sex toys everywhere and they say oh no one lives here, even though all the lights were on. They see the people coming and instead of running out the back door they go out the front. They get the chance to shower where they could have RAN for it but no they instead talk as loud as possible about the weed in the back. Then they GIVE the wife a knife, GIVE it to her, and what does she do, she freaks out, doesn't cut the guys throat just freaks out. They put them in the barn, and again what do they do, they just run out the door right away, not hey lets look and find weapons, or maybe find a HUGE air boat! THEN when they get out, they walk down the middle of the road, stoping to investigate the dead guy! Like COME ON, what more do they want! The only good part about this movie was the kick ass French chick doing everything her loser husband couldn't.

Now "Imoreau's" review should be the one used for this movie. Except he missed out that, when they first got into shallow waters, and mr dumbass started dragging the boat. Why didnt he just turn it around and drag it back from whence he came!!!
Im a fan of most movies and can generally have something positive to say aboutm most. However, this movie, is not a good movie. Its terribly dated and poorly executed. ffs, a *beep* pet dog that can devour over a third of its owners body in under 2 minutes!!!
Ive watched allot of mives in my time (im 28), some good and some bad. And all I can say to someone who is reading this who hasnt seen it yet is.... If you are having trouble sleeping and want to watch a movie thats been lying around the house and you havent got round to seeing it yet. Dont pick it up. Neck some sleeping pills, do 100 press ups and put your head under the pillow. Youll thank me for it.

This movie to me is a cross between "Friday the thirteenth(the original)" and "High Tension" and "The hills have Eyes".. I guess the line is crossed 3 times.. but it worked for me.. I'm still a huge fan of the old scary place with weird people as apposed to torturing somebody over and over.. my favorite scene in this little gem was when "frenchie" discovered that animals attack when they're cornered.. great movie with all it's cliche's:)

This movie rocks. Sorry if itsn't a formulaic BS American slasher film. For fans of the genre, its a solid pyschological horror movie, with some excellantly executed gore sequences. Hi production values and solid performances.
The moral of the story: Never piss off a french woman. Especially one you intend to have sex with.
I also love the neighbourhhod watch sticker on the psychos' front door, awesome little humerous touch there, also I think this is the first movie I've see bestially references put to good use, since Clerks 2.
