examples of how it could've been worst...

1. They could've had the real reason that the Duke boys live with thier uncle Jesse is because they are military deserters and are hiding from uncle Sam.


2. they could've had made Luke Duke gay(and had a gay sex scene--(inspired by Brokeback Mountain).


3. And then have Bo get Daisy pregnant with an own inbreed Duke child.


4. Uncle Jesse could've been a fringe cult leader, who invents and ministers his own religeon to his btrain washed followers who use his farm as a compound where they all live --(like David Koresh or Jim Jones)


5. They could've painted Rebel flag on top, and 01 on the doors of a 1984 Mercury Cougar and used it for the General Lee instead of a real 1969 Dodge Charger.


The Plot could have centered around Bo getting Daisy pregnant and social services come and take the child away because they live on the same farm/compound as thier Gay cousin Luke, and thier Cult Leader Uncle and his followers. They spend the rest of the movie trying to get custody of thier inbreed child back.
