can some one tell me what condishen thay find th car in and how thay go it i havent seen this movie yet i think thies movies r a discrise to the show but yet i cant help but wach them becouse im in love with the generle lee and i wont to see this cuz iv always wondered what thay were like as teen agers and what year dos this take place in
shareThey find the General Lee at the bottom of a quarry/swimming hole. Its condition is pretty crappy, seeing as how it has been underwater.
These movies are a complete "disgrace" to the show, this one being 50 times as bad as the one with Johnny Knoxville and Jess Simpson. That movie seemed like "The Godafather" compared to this piece of utter crap.
I guess Willie Nelson needed the money bad for being in this film.
It takes place in current times, which doesn't make any sense whatsoever if you feel like nitpicking.

shareThey must have just sunk one of the old wrecked General Lee cars at the bottom of the swimming hole because when they pull it out it already has the rebel flag painted on it. In the movie they pretend that the flag isn't already there & after they finish restoring it & give it a name then they decide to paint the rebel flag & General Lee name on it.
"Jason's Got Nards"
In the 2005 movie, they didnt "decide" to put the flag on, Cooter put it on without telling them. Remember the scene when people were reacting to it in traffic in Atlanta and they couldnt figure out what was going on?
shareYes, Yes, I know, I was describing how they find the car that eventually becomes the General Lee in the prequel movie. When they pull the car out of the swimming hole in the prequel movie it already has a faded rebel flag painted on top of it. For whatever reason they didn't try to hide the fact that the wrecked car that they pulled out of the water & restored already had a rebel flag painted on it, but in the movie they pretend like it was never there until they give General Lee a name & paint a rebel flag on it.
"Jason's Got Nards"
They should have used the original idea in the series that a crime couple driving a black Charger robbed a bank and wrecked the car thus it being sent to the junkyard where Bo and Luke buy it needing a car to race in. Then it being painted orange becuase thats the only color Cooter had left in the Garage and they all knownily put the Rebel Flag, 01, and name it General Lee.
