Did Allie *beep* Bragg? That scene at the end when she goes upstairs at the Bragg's hotel and Everett surprises her being there. Was she fu cking Bragg?

shareYep. Bragg came back to town, acting like he cared about the town (since he lost his ranch, I'd imagine, being convicted of murder) and taking over by influence by 'buying' everyone. Buys the hotel/saloon. Gets in good with the 'town council'.
Bragg was becoming the 'head stallion of the herd', which Allie always went to.
She didn't have the inner strength to be self-sufficient so she always sought the 'alpha male' to be able to provide for her.
Same reason she 'beeped' Ring Shelton, even after he kidnapped her at gun-point and threatened to blow her head off; he was the 'top man' of that group she found herself in.
Although Allie is never clearly explained, in either the book or movie (adding to her mystery and her ability to perplex and annoy), it is clear that she has, as we would say nowadays, "issues." Which lead her to do stupid things, like shagging Bragg.
This is also apparent in the third book of the Virgil/Hitch trilogy, BRIMSTONE.
I think Allie was screwing anybody wearing male pants in that town.
