Roy's glasses

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought Roy couldn't see without his glasses but he did well enough to run through the woods and start up a train without them?!?

I KNOW RIGHT! He made a big point of being scooby-doo like and saying "Ahh my glasses" when they got knocked off when they pulled him off the train. I was expecting his lack of vision to be a big part of the plot (they showed his glasses in the sex scene with his wife earlier too). I'm guessing something got cut in the final edit.

His glasses didn't look like "that" strong of a prescription. I think he was more upset since they probably set him back a coupla hundred dollars.

Did you notice that at the end he had a new pair of glasses? Evidently they have those eyeglasses in an hour places in Russia, too. ;-)

reply

Well he could of had a back up in his suitcase.

reply

Very valid point. They were quite stylish if I do say so myself. ;-)

A lot of slightly short-sighted people can manage without their glasses, such as when playing sport. I'm -.5 in one eye and -2 in the other and don't bother with them when in supermarkets, libraries or even when doing voluntary environmental work (when I wear non-prescription safety specs). The better eye is good for seeing what's going on in the distance, the poorer eye gives me good close-up vision.
