Ewan McGregor said he thinks the poor title is contributing to its lack of success and to be honest "Deception" is pretty lame. I understand that another movie called "The List" came out this year, so that explains why that should have been scrapped, and the original working title, "The Tourist," makes no sense with the actual plot.

So my question is, what would YOU have titled it?

I say "Names" because names are heavily emphasized in the movie, we never learn S's name, Jonathan and Wyatt exchange names, no one on the List uses names, etc. etc.

Yes, but in my defense, so is "Deception," which has been used in movie titles in some manner, way, shape, or form, over 120 times. It couldn't get any worse than that.

"The Movie That Had Never Been Shot"

I think nothing could describe this crap masterpiece better.

I think a name for a film is very hard to come up with.
I think Decepetion is as good as any, as there was a lot of deception in the film, which by the way, I like very much.

I don't think it was a crap film, although there were some lame plot lines.
I put that aisde and enjoy the acting. I think they all did a good job.

I saw it in the theater and bought the DVD, and have watched it several times.

Ewan is a excellent actor, and I enjoy watching him in his films.

The title of the movie was the worst part of the movie. It had me expecting twists after there were twists so I could predict everything that happened. I would've named the movie:

"Sunbeam"

This is after the convo S and John in the bed. It's an implied twist and doesn't reveal nearly what "Deception" does.

Why is Deception a bad title? There is nothing wrong with it and the movie is decent.

Some reference to the transaction that was made.....very intricate, the way he had to consolidate all the accounts and get them transferred. I don't have the vocabulary but that was central to the move....stealing all that money.
