Anyone know where in Charlottesville this was filmed?

So, I live right near C-ville, and I go there fairly often. I'm wondering which parts of the city this was filmed in, particularly where his apartment is and the lake they used. I've looked online, but only found where the garage was set up and filmed. I was hoping that this info would be on imdb somewhere, but no such luck so far.

If anyone has any info, I'd love to know. I just love this film, and the scenery is one of the best parts. I hate that it seems to have recieved so many mediocre/bad reviews.

Don't know about the lake - possibly the Blue Ridge Parkway? I do know the building with the rotunda and the rooms where the girl played the violin are part of the University of Virginia and were designed by Thomas Jefferson. That's what caught my attention when flipping channels.
