the worst part

I just watched this today.

In the beginning, Superman heat visions Braniac. Rubble falls on Braniac. Superman turns around. And walks away.

Hahaha I wanted smack superman in the head in that scene! How could he ever think that would stop any of his villains let alone brainiac. Its hard enough defending superman against his critics, but when he does something like that even I start to lose it haha.

Is your argument that he "killed" him, something that Superman wouldn't do, or that he knew it wouldn't stop him? I think he knew that it wouldn't stop him, of course, because he wouldn't kill him.

I don't know about the original poster, but what I thought was really stupid about it was how Superman just turned and walked away like the fight was over! Braniac is one of the toughest Superman villains to defeat and he thinks that he can just walk away after one hit! Just seemed so out of character and ridiculous. He might not KILL Braniac, but Superman would make sure he at least is defeated properly so that he won't do harm to anyone!

I hated how Lex Luthor was redone for this film. He was very menacing in the animated series. Here, though he is too much of a comic relief character (almost like how Gene Hackman's Lex was in the movies). The negative highpoint of the film is where Lex says "I brought popcorn!"
