HORRIBLE
I saw this on TV today. I wasted two hours of my life.
First off, I enjoyed the S: TAS episodes (though some were lacking), and when I saw this I thgought I'd have a fun two hours. I was wrong.
They turned the Lex Luther of the cartoon -- who was intelligent, thoughtful, and cunning, sly, sarcastic ... into this sniveling, joke making pussy. I felt so bad for watching it that if someone else had been in the room, I would have been ashamed. And the voice was horrible. Has to be someone else.
The script: the dialogue was iffy, even stupid at times, and the plot was someothing that could have been delt with in half an hour. Instead they drew it out forever and it was boring.
The fight scenes seemed to be nothing more than intertainment for kids, and exactly HOW many times does it take Superman to knock Braniac into buildings and bolders before he realizes IT'S NOT DOING THE JOB!!! This wasn't hte "smart" Superman from the series. In fact, he's done this stuff with Braniac before -- hasn't he learned? Instead the city has millions worth of damage.
The score was cheap and barely noticable. Even in hte end credits where it was not comepting with SFX, it was still poor and nothing of the quality composers like Lolita Ritmais, Michael McCuistion and Shirley Walker gave us regularly. Thomas Chase Jones is a poor, poor substitute.
I can't recommend ANYONE see this. Not even kids.
