Superman Returns gave it the green light. So WB got Dwayne Capizzi, or however you spell the pricks name, to do this project because WB wanted it to match Superman Returns. Had they got Bruce Timm it would be much different and more like the TV series. Also Timm and co. wouldn't have chickened out about the continuity.

I have to agree - the worst of the DC Animated direct-to-video productions by far. I was shocked at how bad this was. Thankfully the newer DC animated titles have been MUCH better.

I think MYSTERY OF THE BATWOMAN was almost as bad. Sure, it had a decent mystery, and BATMAN, but it was equally uninteresting, the villains were just as paper-thin, and aside from the action, everything else is below average.
