Not that I'm not glad he's back, but why...

did they get Tim Daly to reprise his role as Superman? Ilike George Newbern, although it took me a couple of episodes to get used to him. The horrible character re-design they used for Superman was by far a greater problem in my opinion. It just seems odd that Daly would be rehired, that's all. Did Newbern refuse to do it?.

The wanted to do a sequal to the superman animated series and not justice league. Though judging by the reviews, they would have been better off just going the justice league style route.

I see. I, for one was pissed that Superman TAS finished so early, so I can't wait for this movie.

I'm not sure why they went with Tim Daly over George Newbern or why Daly even agreed other than it was an easy pay check but no matter how you cut it Tim Daly was probably the best thing about this feature. Daly's voice work here is the equivalent of Chris Reeve in Superman 4 - neither product was what you'd call great, but Reeve in 4 and Daly here both give the only sincere, emotionally honest performances of all the returning actors.
