I also saw it last night at the EIFF, I developed an almost immediate liking for this film. The characters were given sufficent time to grow on the audience individually through some sharp one-liners. The scene that made out the guy was going to jump from the building was acted superbly in line with the real outcome ( not his untimely death thankfully).
The outcome of the film was made even better by the continuation of the characters defiance to their combined situation with the humour that ran throughout the film.
I would not normally have paid to have seen a film quite like this, Skills Like This was worth every penny and would encourage anyone who found The Wedding Crashers humourous to part with their cash should this film get it's rightful distribution.
