Madden 08 has been out 3 or 4 months now and still doesn't seem to have a page on IMDb. Am I correct, or am I just missing something here?

im considering buying this - i've bought 94-06, and when i bought ps3, got 08 and was heavily disapointed - i dont know if i want to waste the 60 bucks, but hear it is drastically improved

I didn't hate it, but preferred 07 a hell of a lot more.
09 is magic though. Okay, so that's an exaggeration. . . but it's the best edition in many years. There are a ton of new features, there's online league play if you're into it, the difficulty level is actually customized to how good you are. . . like, you can still choose the reg. difficulties (rookie, all pro, etc.), but you can also set it to adjust to your play.
The coolest part: Division rival games increase in difficulty. So, if you're playing as the Broncos and, in a season, you're playing the Raiders, the difficulty level goes up because the intensity of the game would be greater. Playoffs/Super Bowls apparently are the same way.
The graphics are outstanding. If you put 08 and 09 on two TVs next to each other, you'd be so surprised. There are moments where it felt like I was watching a live game.
Seriously, go for '09. Or at least rent it. It's excellent.

09 is amazing - my father (who introduced me to madden in 94, and i don't think hes played one since lol) walks into my room w/ my 22 inch HD w/ HDMI cable, and the onlything that came out of his mouth was "holy sh*t..."
gameplay is much improved over 08 (which after going back and playing isn't as bad as i thought it was, but nowhere near 07 on orig. xbox). It's alot smoother, and i have noticed that division games are much harder - im a phins fan and yah... favre in the first game of my madden 09 franchise isn't my idea of a good game
didn't try out the skill set thing yet - i just set it to "my iq" which starts out at 500 - and it goes up or down depending on how your stats are for the game (passing went up and running went down because ronnie brown couldn't get anything going!)
overall - 09 is a 09/10 :-)
Much improved over its 08 counterpart!
