According to slasherpool.com the picture on the cover is actually a scene from this movie. The review they give is a bit mixed though. It's like a bad review except they like the end of the movie (they won't say what happens) and it's the ending that makes it worth watching, but they say that if you don't stick around for the end you probably won't like the movie. Their review couldn't seem to make up their mind very well, it's like they didn't like it but liked part of it and didn't want to say much bad about the movie and tried to say good things but kept dwelling on how the movie is kind of a "slow burner", whatever that is! The end of their review actually says that most people (especially those used to the main stream films) probably won't like it, but it's worth a rent.

It's too bad that review couldn't be a little more firm in its standing as to whether they liked it or not. Having not seen this film yet, I can't speak as to its quality, but having read the review at slasherpool.com I can speak for the review itself, which is only a notch above what Newsweek usually writes up. For the record, I put Newsweek at about the worst movie review write ups going. I also don't hold Rolling Stone in high regard either. Come to think of it there are very, very few good film critics around today. Perhaps I should get back in the business.

Google = Results 1 - 10 of about 1,830,000 for slow burner. (0.23 seconds)

Honestly, the poster reminded me of a scene from the original Black Christmas.

The poster was the only good thing about this movie imo lol.
