Earthquake Weather

Maybe some of you amazed why Strummer titled his album Earthquake Weather?...He was in the middle of writing a song,just leaning back against the wall on his chair,looking at his typewriter,and all of the sudden the noise began..Then everything shakes and all the Californians leave the room before they can say Ronald Reagan...and that was about 3:30 am...

Zander was overdubbing a guitar solo,and the enginneer just shouted: Earthquake' Zander' in the middle of a take. he just dropped his guitar and was out.

All of that happened when we was working on the album..so he called the album Earthquake Weather" rather than making any heavy comment on the state of the world...

Strummer's life revolves around things like music,family,people,pubs,the things that most aspiring rock stars hope to leave behind...He follows instincts,not instructions is as outragged as over by the evils and injustices of the 80's,is tolerant of change but is not always preapred to like it,or used it..

The album is littered with all the images and symbols of throwaway, fast-food,consumer's society,while at the same time dropping in,as a reminder...all those enduring names which represent value,legacy,things which will last...
