Westway To The World?

How does this compare to "Westway To The World"?
I feel Westway is a bit jumpy and doesn't dig in on the parts I'd like to hear more about. . (For example it spends waaaay more time talking about Sandinista than London Calling).

This is a lot better as it's not the "official, band-sanctioned" version of history.

We don't have to suffer, we're the best batch yet.

This film is a lot more about Strummer than it is about the Clash, to the extent that you don't get a clear idea of the band's history from it - no pigeon incident, no mention of the first two LPs, nothing about "Rude Boy" or the Victoria Park ANL festival.

There's quite a lot about Strummer's early life, art school, squatting in Maida Vale, and his 'wilderness years' between the Clash and the Mescaleros.

The upside is that most of the stuff here will be unfamiliar even to fans. The downside is that the movie perhaps doesn't give a definitive view - it assumes a lot of prior knowledge, to the extent of not bothering to tell us who the interviewees are.

I used to want to change the world. Now I just want to leave the room with a little dignity.
