Pretentious direction by Julien Temple

Any monkey can make a watchable doc with Joe Strummer as a subject. The thing I hate about this doc is Temple decided to get pretentious . SOme of the things I hated about the doc
1) The fireside chat seemed like a good idea until I realized they had this crap for most of the doc. It was such a smug self congratulatory tone by the director. And as others mentioned, the lack of titles for each person got really annoying.

2) The use of Depp and Cusack was a huge waste. I like Depp, but he is an awful interview subject. Cusack took himself too seriously in this doc.

3) The second half kind of lagged.

That's all Cusack does these days. He's convinced himself that he's really important.
