Special Wash DC Screening Mar. 11 - Kiefer To Attend


Kiefer Sutherland, as well as director Manu Boyer and producer Pliny Porter, will attend a special screening of "I Trust You To Kill Me" as the Closing Night Film of the 9th Annual DC Independent Film Festival. They will discuss the film in a Q&A with the audience. The band "Rocco DeLuca and The Burden" will play in a special live performance after the screening.

The film, Q&A and special life performance by Rocco DeLuca And the Burden closes an 11-day run of screenings and live music performances at the DC Independent Music Festival. One of the premiere festivals for indie films on the East Coast, DCIFF exhibits over 140 films (features, shorts, animations, documentaries, and student) from around the world, and features 30 themed film showcases. This year’s showcase themes include Inside Politics/Human Right, Going Green, Black Filmmakers, Cine Latino, Women’s Day, Asian, Life’s Curve Balls, Mediterranean, European, Africa, Jewish, Scary Movies, and Reality Bites/Documentaries, among others. A fifth of the films to be screened are by local DC metro area filmmakers. For some entries, this will be a world premiere. Others have won awards in festivals around the world.

The film festival also includes 7 days of leading industry expert panels, Q&A sessions with the filmmakers, master classes, and the International, and National Advocacy Roundtables and Panels as well as industry breakfasts, VIP receptions, happy hours, opening and closing night galas.

All festival activities will be held at one location, the DC Moving Image Center, located in Auditorium 46 on the campus of the University of the District of Columbia, 4200 Connecticut Avenue (the corner of Connecticut Ave. and Windom Place). The festival is metro accessible, located on the red line, metro stop Van Ness/UDC.
