Was her hairstyle with the bangs unflattering?

I've heard the argument that she has strong yet delicate features but a very long face, especially in the lower part, with a very pointy and present chin. The bangs just draw attention to that part of her face.

I've noticed that on 911: Lone Star, a TV show on Fox that Liv Tyler is currently doing, she is sporting the bangs like she did in The Incredible Hulk.
