What about Peter made girls want him so much?

Not just Sara and the hotel clerk were after him, but he also gets to bang whatever girl he wants before he goes on vacation, even when he wasn't trying. What about Big Peter made all the hotties come after him and want to sleep with him. How does he do it?!?!?!

Jason Segal was writer, that's how.

He was a good guy. Some women like that believe it or not.

Begging for sex in a bar, expressly saying you don't care which of two women goes home with you - these are 'good guy' indicators? This works?

I don't buy it.

It's a movie.. There wouldn't be much of a story to tell if he was a desperate loner, even if that's more realistic.

reply

did you even watch the film? the interactions in it are far more realistic than your run of the mill hollywood bs. they liked him because he's cool, and nice. and if you go out and try and meet girls and you don't manage to uh... "bang" them as you so eloquently put, it's probably because you go around creeping on girls and thinking of nothing but sex and how desperate you are.

reply

Yes, but he was moping around and depressed. That's turns a woman off, he had the loser smell on him. I could see a pith lay, but he was shooting fish in a barrel.

Big flaw in the movie, the actor may experience this in his personal life, but the character as written was pathetic and creepy. Like the blue balled Jon Favreau character in Swingers, yet they wrote him having all the success of the Vince Vaugn character from Swingers.

reply

Jason Segal wrote this based on his real life experiences. I would imagine since he was on a TV show (Freaks and Geeks) during the time this movie is based on that he probably was getting laid a lot. However, it seems unrealistic to me that the character would get laid that easily when all he does is write the music for a TV show. A flaw in the writing, in my opinion.

Being a nice guy.

It's a guaranteed disaster...like eating a burrito before sex.

reply

Not "girls".

Just some "easy lays" in a bar.
The "girls" there were going to have some "fun" and probably to leave with some guy for one night stand.

In person he's hilarious, he's an incredible improv guy, he's got confidence, he takes center stage where he goes. I'm sure that gets him some pussy
