Sarah's rant about how hard she tried to make their relationship work

She rattles off a dozen things she tried to make it all work and says "Don't you dare say I didn't try."

... Well, of all the things she tried, none of them was TELLING HIM THERE WAS A PROBLEM. She didn't even talk to him about whatever was wrong.

WTF kind of 'trying' is that?

Well, that's a pretty good depiction of women's logic if you ask me lol

Thank you Mikey, I'm currently going through a break up of an 18 year marriage!!! And like OP said, NO MENTION there was a problem til she was ready for a divorce just this summer! I'm finally starting to get over the initial crying every few minutes phase Peter went through in the movie.

I agree. Obviously Peter had no idea there was problem. Maybe you start with something subtle, but you got to just come out and say the problem, and if Peter refused to get off his ass or out of his sweats and make an effort, then you dump him.

Apparently what happens is us men can be oblivious and women hold things inside and we don't see it coming.

reply

women generally don't outright say things directly, but if youre paying attention to your lady you can notice when she is upset or bothered.

the issue i have with women is even when you ask, (on average) they generally lie and say "i'm fine" "nothing's wrong", unless you ask multiple times and then you get the real answer.

I chalk this up to a lack of maturity for females and men being simps and not holding a woman accountable.

Again this on average not for every single person on the planet.

Agreed. I thought I was the only one who realized this. I just saw the "reason" as one big lengthy rant where she was blaming Peter, for HER dumping him and cheating on him for a year, lol. I was shaking my head so confused listening to her bitch at him for "not giving a sh*t"...So because Kristen Bell talked with her mom, instead of Peter and he wore sweatpants, it's all his fault? Oh ok but then if he did care, she would be complaining about him caring "too much" and be overbearing.

Women do that a lot. They try everything except actually telling someone there is a problem. I’ve unfortunately been there. It hurts, but there’s nothing you can do.

You can not stop a woman from shopping.

Reggie says you cannot stop a woman from shopping.

Yes he does . They need shoes

Actually I do this too sadly. Like, if I have to tell you the issue, it's already too late. You should just know and you should just want to do better. If you don't improve things without me needing to tell you, you only do it because I told you to and then it is not coming from a genuine place.

I was rewatching the film yesterday and thought the same thing.

She even spoke to a psychologist, apparently. If she did, I am pretty sure the psychologist would suggest that she talk to him or find couples therapy.

If she would’ve talked to him, they could’ve either fixed the problem or realize they weren’t good for each other years before.
