Yes, definitely. The technique used in the beginning of Electroma looks just as the man-ape scene from 2001.

Similar style, but 2001 is better than this film in literally every way. I appreciated the homages to the film, both ones of style and down right substance (most particularly in the white room), but this movie doesn't come close to the brilliant use of subtlety that Kubrick managed. Perhaps this movie was even ruined for me having seen 2001. Either way, if you liked this, you'll have your mind blown when you get sucked into 2001.
share2001 was the first and (as of now) only film that was able to inflict actual physical pain on me just by watching it in one setting. However, Electroma comes close... _very_ close...
