Influences

Whilst watching it reminded me of a number of films; Easy Rider, Koyaanisquatsi and especially the work of Kubrick. Some scenes felt like they were taken directly out of either The Shining, 2001 or A Clockwork Orange. Are there any other influences that may be worth investigating?

I remember reading an article that stated Electroma was obviously influenced by Zabriskie Point, THX-1138, Vanishing Point and The Brown Bunny. And don't forget about the similarity of the film to Gerry.

Probably, but only a little. I wonder if they are familiar with Asimov's work. I would like to know many thing about their view of robots. I wish they would work on something else around that concept again.

All of these and Solaris besides. And you know what else, methinks? Matthew Barney's Cremaster films, particularly Cremaster 3, the best of the bunch.
