Saw the DVD and bought it without thinking twice

I have been a huge fan of Daft Punk and today I saw this DVD at bestbuy so I decided to buy it. I did not know what to expect, (probably a documentary about guy and thomas) but I whatever I expected it was not this.

This film has a lot of imagery and it lets you soak it up because of Thomas' great cinematography, which I thought was the best part of the film. However, if you are just a fan of the group and not really into unique and artistic films, I don't recommend buying because there are no words, long scenes, and no daft punk music.

It saddens me to hear that there is a 94 minute version because the 74 minute American version felt a little short.

Also, I beleive the masks are supposed to be caricatures of Guy and Thomas http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Daft_Punk_Human.jpg

Yet where did the 94-minute version appear? At a film festival. It's entirely likely that the long version ended up shading into Brown Bunny territory, so they rethought things and pruned it down to a more reasonable length. Bet ya anything it's the shorter version we're all familiar with that is the director's cut.

Ere this night does wane, you will drink the black sperm of my vengeance!
