I'm Shocked...
To see so many negative reviews. I thought it was funny, and when it comes to comedies I'm hard to please... maybe you guys just weren't in the right frame of mind when you saw it?

It's not about being in the right frame of mind - it has more to do with being in the right part of the country.
If you're on the left coast, forget it, you're not going to get it.
If you're a Yankee, you won't get it either.
But, if you're south of the Mason and Dixon line, you're the prime audience this movie was intended for and you'll find that it's right up your alley!
BTW... I enjoyed this movie too, despite all the unfavorable reviews.
In other words, you have to be an uneducated hillbilly.
shareI am a hillbilly, but I am educated. I born and spent most of my childhood in WV and spend nearly 20 years here in the mountains of NC. Other than the few years I spent in the navy. I always been in either the hills or the mountains.
Anyway I think Larry the Cable Guy is funny as well as the rest of the Blue Collar Tour except Ron White (which I don't think is that funny)

I live in Akron, OH and I enjoyed it. You're partially right about the Yankee comment though. I saw this in the theater and my friend and I were the only two people there. Of course, it WAS a ten pm showing on a Wednesday night...
sharealot of these people flat out seem to be Anti Larry the Cable guy.
I enjoyed it a lot. I saw it in the theatre and thought that it was hilarious. I bought it and watched it tonight. It all depends on your type of humor. I love Larry the Cable Guy's comedy, and think that he's hilarious. This is one of these movies that you can watch over and over again, and still get laughs from it.

I'm appalled at such a low rating. Personally I enjoyed the movie from start to end. Gave it a 8/10 rating. Good thing I went for this movie without watching the IMDB ratings.
