Who else thinks this is a rip-off of Stripes (1981)

Stripes (1981)

Same basic characters: three guys in the Army that don't take it seriously until the combat gets serious.

Same general plot: they end up in a foreign country by accident and have to fight their way out.

Same ending: magazine/news of the character's future.

It borrows some elements from "STRIPES(1981)" but to me it resembles, or it's more a remake of "THE THREE AMIGOS(1986)"
