Original script

Ryan Kemp of Dude Productions wrote the original script but was later released from his contract due to creative differences. The script originally was titled "The Green Buffoons", a pun on the Green Berets. It followed the bumblings of then we'll known actor Kirk Cameron. Kemp had written himself into the production as a supporting character called Corporal Alfonso "Spuds" Spudinski. The money backing was pulled out however due to what was seen as "demeaning military stereotypes". Kemp left and a rewrite was implemented. Kemp owned the script and reworked it into the smash hit Space Camp 2!
