Rate Angel of Death

Personally i gave it 4/10. When I started playing I thought it was fine, but the fact that Nico had such a small part in the story ( I wonder who got this great idea ) and the horible ending ( maybe even worse than in the case of Fahrenheit ) made me furious. Also the controlls were pretty bad.

This was the most depressing adventure game I have ever played it had the $HITIE$T ENDING EVER, the puzzles wern't up to scratch neither, I hope they either make a better BS5 or wait for some better creativity or just not bother because this killed the series.

I'm giving it a 7/10.

Comparing it to the ratings I would give the other BS games: BS1 10/10; BS2 8/10 and BS3 5.5/10. I enjoyed it a hell of a lot more than "The Sleeping Dragon"

I hope they make the next game in the series 2D again. I remember reading somewhere that Charles Cecil said that the market for a 2D game wasn't big enough to release one, but I'm sure alot of people would prefer 2D over 3D.

The ending was really rubbish! (An excuse to make another one!)

Just finished it.
Now first let me say this...
The fact that Nico didn't look quite the way she did in the previous games was a little bad, but forgiveable.
Also didn't mind the fact that she wasn't present for about 1/2 of the game. I think it's nice they tried to make a different approach, so it would be a little different from all the previous games.
The animation was ok for the most part. Although particularly Nico's movements seemed oddly mechanical. Not something I noticed from all the other characters.

And what on earth happened to the "death-sequences"? In this game if you for example, get shot, the game simply fades to black and loads a little further back from where you were killed. Bah...

Also, did anyone notice the plotholes? Like, what was up with the "gold-wafers"? They never really elaborated on those...

But the ending... Oh boy, the ending... What a stinker.
Well, ok, it was pretty similar to the other endings in the series, but it was so abrupt. Just George moaning over Anna Maria and then "WHAM"!! (No, not George Michael). Roll credits. (What happened to her, really? Did she get shot? I didn't see or hear the turks (forget his name) gun go off.

An excuse to make a sequel you say? I beg to differ. Being a long time fan of the series it's sad to say, but if this is really the best they can come up with (I'm talking about the ending) then the series has really run out of steam.

And how come, on the map of Rome, there were outlines of other places than the ones you visited? Like the Colloseum? Was this something that just got cut out? Or was it a little throwback to the map you saw in BS1, where there were also those kind of things on the map? Like some cities that were drawn on the map, but you never really went there?

Anyway, I give this one 7/10. It's deffinetly not the best of the series, but it's not the worst either. That "special place" is reserved for BS3.
Story-wise and graphics-wise this one is much better than BS3.

Personally, I rate the series like this.

1: Shadows of the Templars
2: The smoking mirror
3: The angel of death
4: The sleeping dragon

Well, I liked the 3rd one, it had a good story and a satisfying ending.

So, I rate the series like this:

1. Shadow of the Templars
2. The Sleeping Dragon
3. The Smoking Mirror(the story wasn't that interesting in this one)
4. The Angel of Death

4/10

Awful movement, terrible, terrible story, bland graphics with places feeling empty and souless and one of the worst endings in videogames history! The supporting characters and some of the dialogues are the only good thing in the whole game! I can honestly say this is the end of the Broken Sword series for me! The game is THAT bad!
