New Movie Announced by Seltzer and Friedberg

http://britenquirer.blogspot.com

"Comedy geniuses Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg have announced that the title of their latest auterist masterpiece is to be 'Turd in A Hamper Movie'. Said Aaron Seltzer today 'originally it was going to be Gangster Movie and parody Michael Mann's Dillinger but neither of us manage to catch any trailers for this. We did have a parody of Alice in Wonderland planned (where an actor pretending to be Johnny Depp's Mad Hatter stands up and gets hit in the nuts) and a parody of Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes (where an actor pretending to be Robert Downey Junior's Sherlock Holmes stands up and gets hit in the nuts) but this time we could find no way of weaving these scenes into the fabric of our movie with our normal subtlety and brilliance. So, rather than compromise our vision, we decided instead just to film a turd in a hamper for an hour and a half, trusting that our fanbase will react to the integrity of our artistic statement and support it.

The movie 'Turd in a Hamper Movie' has already scored strongly in previews. Said one fan 'Mr Silverman said that this movie has got all different camera angles in it, so it must be good'. Another fan defended Seltzer and Friedberg from their critics saying 'I know it's only a film of a turd in a hamper, but that's what it's supposed to be. The writers know it's just a turd in a hamper, that's what makes it so brilliant. If people want intellectual comedy, they should watch an Adam Sandler movie.'. However, not everyone is convinced of the new film's brilliance. Said one fan 'I know it was called Turd in a Hamper movie, but why couldn't they have a bit where dressed up as Bruno says 'Hi I'm Bruno'. I know that it would be just a pointless copying of a character already supposed to be a parody and therefore pointless and redundant, but being pointless and redundant is what makes Seltzer and Friedberg so brilliant'."

Heh heh.. Loved the Mr. Silverman reference. The funny part was that kid seriously thought he was proving his argument by saying that.

I think the funniest part was referring to them as "comedy geniuses"

That's hilarious

The part about spoofing Johnny Depp's Hatter and Robert Downey Jr.'s Holmes is so spot on that for a second...I actually thought it was a real article.

It's sad news now that there really is a new movie of theirs to report - LA Art Movie... I wish (just like the movie in the OP) it was a joke.
