Begin shot is a crane?

Anyone knows how did they manage that great beginning shot of the film, it seems to begin too high for a crane, or is it a crane?

I refer to the shot of the city over the highway that then lowers to next of the highway under that same highway and landing on the street below filming Jack Black and Mos Def busy on the Fats Waller mural. Great camera move.

I watched the extra's and the credits and found my answer there: they used a stratocrane. It's a beautiful opening shot.

Another craneshot that is spectacular is the ending of "An Unfinished Life" (by Lasse Hällstrom, with J-Lo and Robert Redford).

It was done with a helicopter with a gyroscopically stabilized camera called a "space cam". I flew a similar camera and mount for the movie "JFK". (ognywogny)

A lot of it was done with computers. If you watch it in high definition all the cars are cgi and look really bad
