Wow, the Wizards Of Waverly Place Movie is actually really good. It's just a shame the TV series is nowhere near as good as the movie. Why didn't they make the series more like the movie? The series would have been so much better that way.
Because they were able to have a movie, there was more time to have better character development and to bring in relationship issues that were more relatable. It was good to see some real affection between Alex, Justin, and Max and would have liked to have seen them carry that attitude into the show. Of course it's harder to get those nice moments into their usually broad, under 30-minute sitcom plots that tends to concentrate on Alex's often shallow and lazy personality.
