Why did the cylons follow Lacy's commands?
I'm sorry if this was explained in the show, but if so, I didn't catch it.
shareBecause the cylon's basic firmware is her friend that got uploaded. But there seems to be some kind of corruption since only part of her got uploaded and it developed into a new being, part human and part machine. But in some deep unknown way the software still has a connection to things like friendship that was developed in the real world when she was human.

i guess the show answered in that, zoe-cylon was analogue, but the mass produced cylons were digital and hence as you said corrupt.
a second season probably would have explored the growing development of the cylons and their relationship to Lacy and the STO, we see that church scene in the part 2 preview.
