Oh, I also liked the film very much. Knew nothing about it, just needed to kill/enjoy a couple of hours before a meeting. I was almost turned away by the title, bus stayed since it was my only choice, time-wise. What a quirky pleasant surprise! Funny, poignant, but not too poignant. Very good direction. Hey, I'd work with and for this director any time.

I actually liked the casting very much, unlike someone here earlier. Everyone was very good, though somehow I found Tea Leoni a little too butch here, and all the Pollacks still looked very Italian to me, except one...

Yes, I saw it recently and also really liked it.
I mainly went because I have liked Ben Kingsley in his other films.
I just figured with all the Hollywood Blockbusters this up against, I better rush out and see it right away before it disappears.

I thought for a dark comedy - it was really funny.
And both Ben Kingsley and Tea Leoni were great in it.
I think Tea Leoni was trying to give a dark brooding quality to her character. So I don't think it was a butch quality, her character is just always serious even when she's happy. Just one of those people with a slightly "down" personality.

Watched this one because a friend's family member worked for the company that made it. I was prepared to not like it, but, surprisingly, I thought it was great. Loved the characters and the actors that played them. Hollywood language is always a bit too 'coarse', but you just tune that out and consider the characters and ---- I enjoyed this movie very much. Three thumbs up!!!
