McKinley Assassination

Ben Kingsley's discussion of the McKinley assasination is incorrect. Alexander Graham Bell and the x-ray debacle took place while trying to find the bullet in President Garfield, some 20 years earlier.

That is not correct either. The Garfield debacle had nothing to do with an x-ray machine. That situation was due to a metal detector (made by Bell specifically to find the bullet) that malfunctioned due to the metal bed frame. The McKinley assassination did involve an x-ray machine. The machine was on display at the expo where McKinley was shot, but the doctors did not use it on him because they did not know what the side effects would be, not because of the metal bed frame.

The cases are somewhat similar so I can understand why the makers of this movie got it partially wrong.
