So who was the relative of a person he killed?

Or did I miss something? In the description of one of the movie channels. They say he meets a relative of someone he killed.

Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by rulers as useful.

It was a mistake. I noticed that also. I expect the description was absorbed by the box or something, because an actual viewer would not have said it.

may I ask you who's quote is on the bottom of your posts?

Mine's by Luis Bunuel. I would have put that in the signature itself except for there's only room for 100 characters.

Seneca,Roman philosopher who believed in using reason. The Christian church of the past liked him. They weren't insane like the ones today. Well at least some of them.

Wasn't he Nero's Tudor? How you say that the early Christian church agreed with Seneca? Liked him? Please, if you don't mind going into a little more detail. I agree that "religion" is a sham. For the most part, it's always been a sham. But what does the God of the Bible have to do with religion? Religion is man-made. Belief in God as Creator and Savior is NOT religion. As an atheist, you know beyond any shadow of a doubt that there is no God, right? How do you know this? Are you sure you're not what's known as agnostic? Meaning that you don't know whether or not the God of the Bible exists? So, you are an un-believer? Correct? There's really only two ways to go.. There's nothing fancy here. Either you are a believer or you are an un-believer. All the different names for the same old thing is just condescending, snooty nonsense to me. You think your gang has come up with something new? There have been un-believers for many centuries, practically from the beginning of time, so, I guess your belief system is... really... not that progressive at all, huh?

REALLY???????????

religion
noun
the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, esp. a personal God or gods : ideas about the relationship between science and religion.
• details of belief as taught or discussed : when the school first opened they taught only religion, Italian, and mathematics.
• a particular system of faith and worship : the world's great religions.
• a pursuit or interest to which someone ascribes supreme importance : consumerism is the new religion.

Maybe you you should get a copy. You learn english very good, yeees!
Besides, It's far more useful than the "Bible", i.e. a book packed with incoherent fictional stories and plagiaristic "wisdom" (some of the most famous christian quotes are actually stolen from ancient philosophers like Confucius (K'ung-fu-tzu, 500BC)).

As an atheist, you know beyond any shadow of a doubt that there is no God, right? How do you know this?

Yes I do!!!
Allow me to enlighten you ...(or humor you, or just piss you off, we'll see)
In short:
God is a supreme omnipotent power. This god creates and exists in a rational world. But since he is omnipotent, his interactions with the rational world will cause irrational, logically unacceptable and self-contradictory results.
Therefore an existence of god is a paradox. Since all paradoxes are man-made, god is man-made.

The only possible way for god to exist would be as power that works within the laws and principles of the universe. If he/she/it does that, the definition of god is inaccurate and he/she/it loses the right to the title.

So, you are an un-believer? ... I guess your belief system is... really... not that progressive at all, huh?

not that progressive? hahaha! ... and this comes from a guy who believes is 2000 year old book written by some backward people who didn't invent anything... If it was written by egyptians, greeks or someone else with a mind-blowing culture, philosophy and science... but Hebrews???? They walked around in circles for 30 years in Sinai desert and they are proud of it!!!

I'm sure the atheist-guy is a believer (believe = accept (something) as true). He must believe in something, however I doubt he has faith ( = complete trust or confidence in someone or something).
I sure can't argue with that.

I know this is not my fight, but I couldn't resist =)

Well, here we are 6 years later and the same error exists in the description on Sundance Channel. I think it was supposed to refer to "a relative of one of the bodies he worked on at the mortuary". And, of course, that was Laurel.
