trailer song??

whats the last trailer song? its sounds so familiar....

reply

I believe that's "I'll be Around" by The Spinners. Great tune!

reply

any one know what the rest of the songs are?

reply

I know the second one is Dance to the Music by Sly and the Family Stone. The last one is the Spinners tune I mentioned above. I'm drawing a big blank on the first tune.

reply

Billy Preston's "Outa-Space" is sampled here. Of course the Spinners' "I'll Be Around" completes the first trailer.

Hope this helps? I'm amazed I can remember this... althought I have everyone of these songs on 'vinyl' (LP's? Album's (not CD)? Playable on a turntable? 33-and-one-third? Dang... you kids!)

reply

I don't know, the second is definitely Sly & the family stone's "dance to the music", and the third one is The Spinners' "I'll be Around", but I just downloaded Billy Preston's "Outa-space" and it doesnt sound like the song at the opening of the trailer. Are there alternative versions?, because the one I got is certainly lacking the brass that is very distinct in the first song in the trailer.

reply

it might be different because i believe that the soundtrack is going to have versions of these songs by contemporary artists...

Ok I've listened to it again and yeah I do hear "Outta Space", but it doesn't kick in untill after the 'P.O.P.' coment, there's another song before it that the trailer opens with, so there are 4 songs in total.
1st: ?
2nd: 'outta space'
3rd: 'dance to the music'
4th: 'I'll be around'

any help on that first one?

reply

1st: Hold On I'm Coming -- Sam & Dave
2nd: Billy Preston - Outta Space
3rd: Sly and the Family Stone --Dance to the Music
4th: The Spinners - I'll be around

I think this is used on the 1st one.
