The Rockaway Beach platform in Brooklyn?

"But there is no hero's welcome awaiting him when he steps off the A-train onto the Rockaway Beach platform in Brooklyn." -imdb.com - Plot Summary.
I'm from The Rockaway's in New York, and it seems to be a lil more than a mess-up to write something like that, because Rockaway Beach is not in Brooklyn what-so-ever. Furthermore, there is no station that is titled Rockaway Beach in New York. I understand they are stating it's a station Platform located somewhere in Rockaway Beach off of the A-train. However, it sounds utterly stupid, because Rockaway Beach is in Queen and its in the 11693 zip code which is the JFK zip code, so they weren't even remotly correct. Also, the story sounds stupid, because Rockaway is not overun by gangs and drug dealers, there has been a massive crack down in that location for sometime. This movie sounds stupid and badly researched.

It has been fixed. Hopefully, this change will stick—IMDb’s been weird about modifying plot summaries lately. Peace.

Brooklyn has a different connotation than Queens. And Rockaway might as well be Brooklyn; it's close enough to Coney Island you could throw stones.

rockaway is no where near coney island by train or car
the rockaway beach platforms are basically the first few stops of the S and A train lines

You could drive from Coney Island to Rockaway or vice versa in about half an hour.

reply

You could drive from JFK to Manhattan in 30 minutes, that doesn't mean they're anywhere near one another.

So what, its called artistic licence. I don't care if they said key west was off the coast of alaska, has anybody actually seen it and have anything relevant to say about the movie?
