Finally saw it! I bought it from iTunes after missing the airing. Then found my computer can't handle iTunes. Wha?? Found it in pieces on YouTube, but don't feel badly since I *did* pay for it. I just need to have it one something that isn't iTunes. iTunes pretty much sucks.
Edited to add what I actually thought of the ep. LOL!
David did an utterly fantastic job in this episode, and I thought it was a wonderful chance to show that the other characters really do love Rodney. It was nice. Right up there with Tao of Rodney, even if they both were "Rodney is dying but saves himself at the last second (with the assistance of...). :-D
The acting was wonderful. Some nice subtlety out of Joe Flanigan that I haven't seen in a while. Mixed feelings about the very end. I like to pretend the video said, "Emerald" instead of "Jennifer".
Very character-focused. NO big battle through the wraith. But they made it clear the danger they were all willing to face just to have the chance to say goodbye to Rodney, not even thinking they might be able to save him. Very nice.
I especially loved that Ronon and Teyla were just going to go without everyone else. awwwww. And, of course, Jennifer's hope that she could save him, and her feelings at thinking she couldn't. Nice work from Jewel in this one, too. All around a very good episode. Even Woolsey was perfectly placed and written. I wish they'd brought him in last year. The sort of awkwardness is perfect.
One of the best of the whole series so far.
Cheers!
