Why so outdated??

Okay I liked this movie but why the hell did most of the girls dress so outdated? Especially Shirley. And Mike's wife (the redhead) They dressed like they were in the 90's

The only girl who dressed somewhat according to what seemed to be the time was Naydene. And I know it was pretty modern based on some of the vehicles used throughout the film.

Anyway that's just my tiff!

I think its supposed to take place some time in the past. The computers all look like mid 90's or even earlier. But then the cell phones look like early 2000s so idk.

A black pool opened up at my feet. I dived in. It had no bottom.
