Been noticing some screw ups

In the pilot, the most obvious screw up is that Jack and zoe pass each other in the same car. In the last season, new Jack and zoe are in the jeep.

When sheriff Cobb introduces himself, he says he's the county sheriff. Town sheriff has never made any sense since there is no such thing.

When jo opens the jail cell door, it makes a treky sound. Can't remember it ever doing that again.

The town they walk into after crashing seems very mountainous. I know they changed the state the show was based in later on for whatever reason but for the actual Town to be set in a San Francisco type setting and then changed to a more Midwest setting seems like a big leap.

Anybody notice anything else?

My take on the first two is..

The Jeep vs the Car could be from the timeline among other things. Ppl could debate for days on that.

Town vs County. Originally Cobb was trying to keep the real purpose of Eureka and his job as low key and normal as possible so maybe County Sheriff sounded more plausible at the time ?? Not sure on either but those are my takes on it.

3 and 4 not sure but do you mean joe's cell that was controlled by the keypad behind Obamas picture at GD or the one in the sheriffs office ??

One thing I noticed after seeing the pilot after I'd already started watching the series is just how incredibly dark the pilot actually was when compared to the series that followed.

Consider the hell that that little boy went through in the pilot, first his dog is killed, and then his dad dies and then at the end his mom is murdered.

Fargo in the pilot is depicted as a mysterious underling, who seems to have everything under control and in the series he's a buffoon who keeps pushing the wrong buttons(in the first season just how many of Fargo's blunders create the plot of a given episode?).

If I had watched the pilot first I would have expected Eureka to be like "American Gothic" with GD as "satan".

The pilot was done over a year before the show was picked up and new episodes were shot so there are bound to be some continuity errors, especially on scenes that were reshot and added. Note when Carter and Zoe are in the car when they see themselves driving out of town - Zoe's hair changes and the ring in her nose disappears and reappears. She was wearing a wig for the reshot scenes as her hair was different and she was nearly 2 years older by then. There are other examples and they are explained in the commentary for the pilot episode.

All screw-ups, including anything you might find in the IMDb "Goofs" sections, can be easily explained -- they're all Fargo's fault. The Global Dynamics building changes between the Pilot and later episodes? Fargo. A boom mike can be seen at the top of the screen? Fargo. The car changes from one episode to the next? Fargo. One of the actors forgets his or her lines? Fargo. Fargo clothes change from dirty to clean between shots? Fargo.

Accepting that explanation across the board makes everything easier.

 I love it. Fargo did it, of course!

Mag, Darling, you're being a bore.

A lot of people like to think it's different because of altered timelines 

Good catch. I'll pay closer attention to that since I'm about to start rewatching the first couple of seasons.
That reminds me of a movie George Takei (Sulu) is in called Walk Don't Run (1966). During one of his scenes there's a door with a "treky sound" every time it opens ("treky" to me, anyway). Unfortunately the door opens too much during that scene and it becomes overkill.
